Speight's Coast to Coast....!

Some people think you would have to be crazy to go in it whereas others mark it in their book of 'must do's' in life! Lisa (our Production Coordinator) took the must do stance and completed her first Coast to Coast last weekend in the 2 day teams category. Gory being the operative word as she has arrived at work sporting a very attractive split across her forehead when she decided to get closer to nature during the kayak leg. After declining the chopper ride option she continued to finish the kayak stage in an epic journey time of 10.5 hours (mainly due to the course marshalls demand that she stopped at every checkpoint on the river to make sure she was fit to continue!)

We believe this is a pretty gutsy effort and are proud of her efforts to finish an incredibly challenging course especially with the river running so low. GREAT WORK LISA! We have been producing the race bibs and stickers for this event for the last 6 years so it was great to see the other side of it for a change!

New team member...

Late last year Anne decided to move on from our admin role which has left a bit of a gap in the traffic for the last couple of months as we found a suitable candidate for the job. After 40 CV's and 9 interviews we are pleased to welcome Nicola Walker to the team as of the 2nd March. Nicola has vast experience in various administration roles so we are confident she will fit right in with our existing team and clients. We apologise for any delay with invoicing in the last couple of months and are confident this will be back up to speed within the next couple of weeks.  For those customers who place an order on-line continue to do this through our admin@screenconcepts.co.nz address with any artwork cc'ed to lisa@screenconcepts.co.nz, in other words no change to what you have been doing....

I don't know about you but I am sick of talking and hearing about the affects of a recession. It seems to me that the first question anyone coming in asks, is 'how's business'? We want to publicly state now that business is good, it's what you make it! When the economy changes you have to change with it so with that in mind Screen Concepts is now a 'Recession Free Zone'! Obviously you have to be aware of the changing economy but it doesn't have to spell disaster for your business. If you are confident in the product and service you are offering and are affective in getting your slice of the pie in regard to the work out there, then you will continue to succeed.

We are committed to finding ways of working more closely with your business to ensure we all succeed together. This may be in the form of variable payment terms, flexible pricing, improved turnaround times, it doesn't matter what it is as long as you discuss it with us so we can work on the best outcome together. Businesses that 'cluster' together through tougher times will be in an even stronger position when the economy improves.
