Welcome to the team Joe!

Joe started with us earlier in the month and is currently completing his 3rd year of a Flat Sheet Screen Printing apprenticeship. Joe has come from a company that printed a cross section of hard copy and metalwork products (including pad printing) so had the skills we needed to fit into our evergrowing hard copy team! With that in mind we are focused on continuing with an internal staff training program and see Joes arrival as the start of an on-going apprenticeship program. One way to retain quality members of the team is to offer something back in the way of a trade and it also allows us to get a commitment out of some of our people to stay and complete their 3-4 years training instead of heading onto other opportunities without something 'under their belt'.

Pad Printing (almost here)!

Our new machine is due into Christchurch in the first week of June so we are looking forward to it's arrival. We have been overwhelmed by the interest we have received from new and existing clients in regard to the type of product we will be printing and when can they start using it! This is an exciting acquisition for us as we firmly believe that it will allow us to target not only a much bigger section of the current market we are in but potentially open some doors for us into areas we haven't supplied to before. Wholesaling Philosophy...

In case you weren't aware we very much promote ourselves as a true 'wholesale' print company. What this means to you is that we will not bypass you and target your clients but rather look for ways to constantly strengthen the relationship we already have with you. We would much rather support you in becoming more effective in the marketplace by offering a range of printing services and products that compliment your business. Our main goal is to become a seamless extension of your current internal processes or offer a product that helps you be unique in the business you are in. Doom & Gloom....who cares!

I'm not sure about you but I know I am sick of hearing in the media about an impending economic slump. My answer to those negative reports is 'who cares'. This is the perfect time for whittling out that competition that have always been a thorn in your side by constantly undercharging and offering unrealistic timeframes. This is a great opportunity to fine tune your overheads and expenses, look for deadwood and focusing your marketing energies into offering a better product and service. This is potentially a great time for any business to cement their position in their individual marketplace and aim for a bigger market share...good luck!
 

Updated Performance Results....

Each time we publish a newsletter we want to use it as an opportunity to do a bit of obvious self promotion! With that in mind listed to the left is the results for the month of May which shows our 'jobs completed on time' information Basically what this tells us is how many jobs we are completing in the timeframe required by the client. A bit of a drop from the last quarter but we have put it down to some staff changes over that period. How many other screen printers do you know that can generate these sorts of results on a regular basis let alone have that information available!?
